Ingredients

1 pound bacon, cut into thirds

1 pound breakfast sausage, casings removed

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped

1 tablespoon adobo sauce from the chipotle can

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, maple syrup, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and well blended.

Take a piece of bacon and wrap it around a piece of sausage, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat this process until all the bacon and sausage are used.

Using a small spoon or piping bag, stuff each wrapped sausage with the chipotle cream cheese mixture.

Place the stuffed pigshots on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the sausage is fully cooked through.

Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color.
