Ingredients

1 package frozen pierogi (16 oz), cheese and potato filling preferred

1 pound kielbasa, sliced

1 large onion, chopped

2 cups sauerkraut, drained and rinsed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Layer Ingredients: In the bottom of your crockpot, layer half of the frozen pierogi. Top with half of the sliced kielbasa, half of the chopped onion, and half of the sauerkraut.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the top of the layer.

Season: In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined. Spoon half of this mixture over the cheese.

Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, sauerkraut, and cheddar cheese. Pour the rest of the sour cream mixture evenly over the top.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pierogi are tender and the sausage is heated through.

Finish: About 15 minutes before serving, add a little extra shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the crockpot to let it melt.

Serve: Once everything is heated and bubbly, gently stir to combine all the layers and serve hot. Garnish with fresh chives on top before serving.
