Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
Slowly add the remaining flour, about 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough begins to form.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
While the dough is rising, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 12x18 inches) on a floured surface.
Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
Cut the dough into strips (around 1-2 inches wide) and stack the strips on top of each other. Cut the stacked dough into squares.
Grease a loaf pan and arrange the squares vertically inside the pan, allowing them to fit snugly.
Cover the loaf pan with a towel and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, and accompanied by a small dish of melted butter for dipping.
