1tablespoonmaple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
0.5teaspoonvanilla extract
1pinchsea salt
to tastechopped peanuts and dark chocolate chips (for topping)
Instructions
Prepare the bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into coins. Lay the banana slices on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid.
Blend the ingredients: Place the frozen banana slices into a food processor. Add the cocoa powder, creamy peanut butter, maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and sea salt.
Process until creamy: Start the food processor on low, gradually increasing the speed as the bananas begin to break down. Scrape down the sides as needed, and continue to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, resembling soft-serve ice cream.
Taste and adjust: Stop the processor and taste the nice cream. If you prefer it sweeter, you can add a bit more maple syrup and blend again.
Serve immediately: Spoon the nice cream into bowls and top with chopped peanuts and dark chocolate chips for added crunch and richness.
Notes
Serve in chilled bowls and garnish with extra toppings for an eye-catching look.
