Instructions
In a food processor, combine the frozen banana slices, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
Process the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is creamy and smooth. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is well blended.
Taste the mixture and add more maple syrup if you desire additional sweetness. Blend again if you add any.
Once it's smooth, transfer the nice cream into a shallow dish or container.
For a soft-serve version, you can enjoy it immediately. If you prefer a firmer texture, cover the container and freeze for about 1-2 hours.
When ready to serve, scoop out portions and top with your choice of chopped nuts, dark chocolate chips, or fresh berries for an extra burst of flavor.
