Start by preparing your ingredients. If you haven't already, freeze the ripe bananas beforehand as they will add a creamy texture to your smoothie.
In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, creamy peanut butter, unsweetened almond milk, cocoa powder, honey (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Blend all ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick for your liking, add a little more almond milk until reaching the desired consistency.
For an icy texture, add a handful of ice cubes and blend again until well incorporated.
Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed, by adding more honey or maple syrup. Blend for a few extra seconds if you add anything.
Pour the smoothie into a tall glass or bowl and enjoy immediately.
