Start by peeling the frozen banana and breaking it into chunks for easy blending.
In a blender, combine the frozen banana chunks, peanut butter, almond milk, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and the smoothie is creamy and smooth. If it’s too thick, add a little more almond milk and blend again.
Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and enjoy immediately.
