Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
Fold in the butterscotch chips and chopped pecans, ensuring they are distributed evenly throughout the dough.
Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
